Wie Ortwin gewünscht hat, hier noch ein Bild von dem Tauchgang an der RN Palesto. War faszinierend, da wir knapp 40 Minuten Grundzeitgemacht haben. Welch ein faszinierendes Wrack mit großer Geschichte.
Das italienische Panzerschiff RN Palestro ist in der Schlacht von Lissa (die heutige Insel Vis) durch eine Kohleexplosion untergegangen. das Wrack, erstaunlich gut erhalten, liegt heute in 120m Tiefe im Mittelmeer.

Build between 1864 and 1866, the Italian Ironclad RN Palestro fought in the Battle of Lissa out of the Island today known as the Croatian Vis. The battle between Italy and Austro-Hungary was probably the last Battle at Sea which relied on the tactics of ramming. The Palestro sunk due to an explosion in the mid-to-aft area, probably an ammunition magazine.
The astonishing well preserved wreck found its resting place in a depth of 120m / 393ft in the Adriatic Sea, where she is a relict of a bygone time.
