    Hi wen,

    when I took this image I was really new to photography(about a few months maybe), all I wanted to do here was to soften the rose so that the middle part of the rose will glow due to the direct sun light. I should have compose it better. thanks for your comment.

    This is a lovely shot Henry. The only thing I would have to say, is if you are working on technique is that it's much too centered. If your going for a romantic feel the soft focus and shallow depth of field is great - it your going for more technical quality might want to sharpen up. The colors are superb.

    I'm going from a fully manual SLR background to a digital, and I'm having a heck of a time learning how to deal with the focus settings on my camera.
