Royal wedding crowds
We were in the Mall (the large road leading up to Buckingham palace) and it was packed as you can imagine. Taking pictures was hit and miss but didn't realize this man was captured right in the middle of the picture! It was just fantastic being there for the atmosphere and celebrations.

What a spectacle it must have been!!! Just great this crowd and the bright colours of the Union Jack in contrast to the people, sky and trees. Well done from this viewpoint ... amazing the person high up in the "cherrypicker".hugs, Adele

oh, yes!!! i was looking forward to this, sally ; ))! what a great interesting picture! so much to see and to discover, up to the (camera-?) man in lofty heights!! so great, too, how you succeeded in putting the man with the union jack hat right in the middle of the road and even have him "pose" for you – hat and all! – among his "relatives" the flags ; ))! must have been a great experience to actually be their and feel the spirit!! i watched part of the wedding ceremony on tv, and happened to lipread the groom's (he's not the prince of wales anymore, is he?) "you're beautiful!", when his fiance was "handed over" to him at the altar… awww, so touching! hugs, sabine.Majid mehraban 03/05/2011 7:53
