Last week I uploaded a picture of a female scarce chaser (see my picture below).
This time it’s a male specimen, with its typical blue-grey abdomen.

The scarce chaser is a fairly rare dragonfly and is classified as critically endangered on the “Red List of vulnerable and threatened species”, mainly due to lack of its specific ideal habitat of marshes with high quality water.

Dutch name: Bruine Korenbout
German name : Spitzenfleck
Latin name : Libellula fulva
