Scorpion fish at the coral floor

Normaly the scorpionfish disguises himself in the environment, but here he stands out in color from the coral clearly.
Like the stonefish, the scorpionfish is a poisonous animal that can actively apply a toxin mixture to a potential predator using a poisonous device.
We divers should approach him with care. If we have injured ourself at the poison fin, moderate to severe, usually burning pain occurs at the injection site, which can spread quickly. The pain can be extremely severe and lead to unconsciousness.
In the waters of the Andaman Sea the scorpion fish is very common.
