Steam special leaving Keighley on the KWVR.
Taken last February at steam festival. The weather was cold with snow and sleet at times so the steam condensed very readily!

Thanks jdcIn the long gone days of BR steam all goods locos were always very oily and dirty except for the first three days after leaving the works following overhaul. So the picture fails on at least two points of authenticity!

It's the cold damp weather that makes the steam condense so much. I prefer it to the dry weather when the steam just disappearsJeff
