Steps of time

This picture encompasses over 2000 years of Plovdiv's history (Bulgaria). The smoothness of the cobble stones tells us that they date back to Roman times, the yellow building is late XIXth century, the hanging cables are mid-XXth century and the young girl with her yellow umbrella is born in the new millennium. Life continues in the same location.
