In Icelnd, The Faroe Islands and Norway, people still eat sheapheads. This dish has its roods in the culture of the Viking age and came from Norway through The Faroe Islands to Iceland more than 1000 years ago.
Before eating, the wool is burned from the seephead, and it is separated and boiled. As at tourist, you can sometimes buy it in Umferðamiðatöðin í Reykjavík (the central busstation).
