Embroidered Tapestry - Silk and linen with details added in paint
Origin: Lower Saxony, Germany - late 14th Century
former Owners: Princess of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen, Schloss Jaegerhof, Duesseldorf.
The coats of arms in the tapestry are those of the Landgraf of Hessen and the House of Lichtfuss.
the Tapestry is part of the medieval collection at the "Cloisters"Museum in NYC

Na, da steckt aber eine Menge an Arbeit drin.Noch gut zu erkennen sind die vielen Figuren,
die zur damaligen Zeit ihrer Beschäftigung
nachgingen. Eine typische Teppichfarbe für
die Zeit von damals.
