Telegraph Road / Detroit
"Telegraph Road" is a song by the British rock band Dire Straits and written by Mark Knopfler.
Inspired by a bus trip taken by Knopfler, the lyrics narrate a tale of changing land development over a span of many decades along Telegraph Road U.S. Roure 24 in suburban Detroit, Michigan. In the latter verses, Knopfler focuses on one man's personal struggle with unemployment after the city built around the telegraph road has become uninhabited and barren just as it began.

gefällt mir das pic von der motor city. gut die verbindung zum knopfler song. kam mir auch gleich in den sinn, als ich den titel gelesen habe.mein lieblingstück von dire straits.lg jb
