Thanks so much dear FC...

My dear friends in FC,
I want to thank you from deep in my heart for your awareness and support.
Wish I could post the beauties of my country rather than these hurting, heart touching images and videos..
While the whole world was broadcasting about terrible things happenning in Taksim Square and Gezi Park, while the police was spreying tear gas on to the peaceful protesters, attacking with water cannons, beating them with batons, TV channels in Turkey (except Halk TV and a few more) were making programs about the life of penguins and how to cook imambayildi ( a cold dish made with eggplant) as if everything is fine...We had to contact by social media (facebook, twitter,etc..) and watch foreign TV channels to learn about all..You can not imagine how hurting it is for me to write these words..
I was born in 1953 and was raised as a modern, clear sighted, conscientious, humanist individual, a real Turkish citizen.That's the way I raised my twin daughters and grandchildren too..Same with my generation and the next...Now, for more than 10 years we are forced to live with the rules and laws by the PM Tayyip Erdogan..What happened was not just to save a few trees in Gezi Park, it was the final drop of water that overflew the glass..It was because of the insult, it was because of telling us to have at least 3 children (now he wants 5), it was beacuse of telling us what to eat, what to drink,what to wear, it was because of the lawyers beaten and taken in custody, it was because of the new law concerning our own body, it was because of keeping hundreds of journalists in jail for years, it was because of law not working in this country, it was because of dividing the citizens of Turkey in two (us and others)..Since RT was in power we have never thought of the "others"..
At the moment it is silent in Taksim Square but I have some fears about this weekend because RT will have 2 meetings with his thousands of people, one in Ankara, one in Istanbul. I hope, I wish no provocators show up and cause a chaos as it happened the night before...I hope my citizens don't fight against eachother...I hope the meetings end up peacefully...
The reason I posted these images and asked for help is to spread the news around the world so everyone knows..And now I want to thank you all again for your support, help and awareness..I am deeply touched......
Wishing and praying for the best, for my fellow citizens, my country, my family, the coming generation and for the world.......
