Personally...I would prefer using a little more gentle light...'cause you've got a sweet face...the half of it is burned with light...wiping out the details...the other half is too dark and adds...a somehow undesirable effect for me...The contrast is too harsh...the deep shadow on the right does not appeal to me...I would prefer this kind of light...maybe if I make a photo of a man and want to make the image more brutal...Anyway...the light source seems to be too close to the model...thus...the deep shadow...I'd place it a little more in front of the subject...to avoid such white burnout spots (on the left) and dark areas with no detail (no the right) ...a bigger and more effective diffuser of the light source would give the photo a more...gentle look, that's how I'd do it (ofcourse this is the author's decision, and I respect that). And other thing...The photo looks like it's been taken with a non-suitable lens for this occasion...It looks like it's taken with 50mm lens from half-a-meter distance...so...the nose takes too much space on the photo :) Not too bad thing here...but I'd prefer using more tele lenses...85mm for example...or...shoot from further away from the model...there have to be at least 2 metres between the photographer and the model :) Nice picture...keep on experimenting with light!
