Nach ca. 20.000 Schritten durch Rom, bei fast 40 Grad, kamen wir dann nochmal am abendlich beleuchteten Petersdom im Vatikan an. Mitten auf dem Petersplatz führt diese weiße Linie auf dem Pflaster mittig Richtung Basilika. Für mich irgendwie sinnbildlich für die Trennung(en), die der „Verein Kirche“ in der langen Geschichte oft zu Unrecht zelebriert hat …

After about 20,000 steps through Rome, at almost 40 degrees, we arrived again at St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican, illuminated in the evening. In the middle of St. Peter's Square, this white line on the pavement leads in the direction of the basilica. For me, it somehow symbolises the separation(s) that the "church association" has often unjustly celebrated in its long history ...
