The dwellers on the Huong River
The Perfume River (Huong River) is a river that crosses the capital city of Hue, in the central Vietnamese province of Thua Thien Hue. Perfume River or Huong River is around 80 kilometers long, and owes its name to the fact that it flows through many forests of aromatic plants before reaching Hue,
The locals who live on and beside the river in Hue are often very poor and wash their clothes and taking bath in the polluted water.
