The Fungi World (78) : Pleated Inkcap

The small and very delicate Pleated Inkcap (sometimes also referred to as the Fairy Parasol or the Japanese Umbrella) is a typical grassland fungus that usually appears after a period of heavy rain.

Dutch name : Plooirokje
German name : Scheibchen-Tintling
Latin name : Parasola plicatilis (previous Coprinus plicatilis)

oh, i really liked this delicate looking green fungus! would have loved to see it in the gallery – too bad it didn't make it… lg, sabine.

sorry Mark, but the DOF on this one is absolutely not correct. In such a picture the eye want to be guided towards the captured object, but here I only see a picture which is to 80% in focus. The "Fungi" is not the attraction its just a white something with some green around it. You should have also removed the grass in front of the Fungi to separate it from the rest. The angle is very standard because most of the "photographers" are too lazy or simply don`t want to get wet or dirty to achieve a better angle !
