Plumeria (Frangipani) is a genus of flowering plants in the family Apocynaceae.The species are endemic to Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, and as far south as Brazil and north as Florida. Common names for plants vary widely according to regionans varety, but frangipani are the most common. Plumeria flowers are most fragrant at night in order to lure sphinx moths to pollinate them. The flowers yield no nectar, however, and simply trick their pollinators. The moths inadvertently pollinate them by transferring pollen from flower to flower in their fruitless search for nectar.

That are very beautiful and colorful blossoms. I didn't see such shrubs here, which is no wonder. That are tropical plants, which need warm temperature. I wonder how a moth can pollinate it, cause i don't see any pistils or stamens. Interesting to see it.Best regards Bernd
