The Living Forest (595) : Red Squirrel
Deep down in the forest I spotted this red squirrel in search of beech nuts.
Beech nuts are high in fat which is very necessary for the squirrel in cold winter times.
Dutch name : Eekhoorn
German name : Eichhörnchen
Latin name : Sciurus vulgaris
(it was very dark in the forest, so I had to make this shot on ISO 12800)
