The Living Forest (785) : Robin
Did you know :
1. that the robin is one of the only birds that can be heard singing in the forest all year long.
2. that in winter, also the female sings..., which is quite exceptional among birds !!
3. that in some parts of Italy, catching and killing robins for human consumption is still very common...!!!

and 4. that their song phrases are highly variable; up to 275 different motifs.and 5. is that they also sing in the dark.
and because of 5 is 6. they are not nightingales. LOL
@ 3. people are still barbaric. Not really a new finding.
