The Living Forest (792) : Short-toed treecreeper
The short-toed treecreeper is a small songbird with a curved beak and lives in deciduous forests.
This bird is frequently creeping fastly upon tree trunks looking for insects (hence its name).
Dutch name : Boomkruiper
German name : Gartenbaumläufer
Latin name : Certhia brachydactyla megarhynchos
