The rust that won the West
During the Great Depression flat bed Ford trucks like this one transported many families and their possessions down Route 66 in pursuit of a better way of life. I'm sure if it could talk, there would be many stories to tell and memories to recall. Built 1929/30 in Michigan, last licensed 1962 in North Dakota, she waits at Tulsa, Oklahoma for some handsome prince to awaken her to old glory.

You've managed to capture in this wreckage the beauty of those marvelous automobiles, jard to believe something so profound is languishing away in a lost, remote corner of somewhere.
I also suggest you take a look at the works of ,Robyn Raggio , Robyn has some of the most beautiful photos I've ever seen.

Hallo John,by reading your short but interesting explanation I heard music playing in my mind all the time: Route 66, Tulsa by Eric Clapton to mention only some tunes!
Ein tolles Fundstück hast Du da abgelichtet. Da würde ich noch gerne mehr davon sehen, Herr Nachbar!
LG Ludwig
