  You are very kind.
  It is strange to think that the field of poppies was next to the same road - the A68 - that appears in the pictures of ridsdale, (but 10 miles further south).
  It is unusual, in north-east England to see a field full of poppies.
  Such a phenomenon is more associated with sunny Italy - such as Tuscany.

  I made sure to take this picture.
  Because "road-flyer" (also known as gunter) took the same picture a few months ago. I recognised the location, and told him.

  You have got almost whole village on the same photo. I find those village on Google Earth.

  Not the whole village.
  There is one long street of houses - Armstrong Street - which goes off to the left beyond my picture.
  I will add a couple of pictures to fotocommunity - so you can see it.
  The residents take a lot of pride in their homes on Armstrong Street. The houses are not very expensive (for England) - about £130,000 each - but they are more expensive than many remote places in Northumberland.
  That is because Armstrong Street enjoys possibly the best, most expansive, view to the north - of any place in North-East England.

  I was told, in the village - that the pub is expected to re-open, imminently.

  Not as good as your picture.
  The pub was closed.
  It is being refurbished, and - I was told - it will reopen soon as a community-owned and operated pub.
