The Waverley

The Waverley was built in 1946 the paddle steamer was launched in October 1946 at builders A. & J. Inglis, Glasgow, and entered service in June 1947. She was built for the London & North Eastern Railway Company to sail on their Firth of Clyde steamer route from Craigendoran Pier, near Helensburgh, up Loch Long to Arrochar.
The ship's operators claim the Waverley is "probably the most photographed ship in the world".
The Waverley is the last ocean going ship of her kind and still cruises around the Firth of Clyde, here she is seen arriving at Largs before cruising to Loch Fyne.
