As we entered into the ger, meeting the family you've to say a salutation and to ask the question, who the sheep or goat herd, the Mongolian livestock for many people, survived the passed winter season.
It isn't necessary to ask about grandma's health for instance. Without the livestock you will not be able to survive, but without grandma you'll fall in sadness but you'll keep alive.
