Tipong colliery, Assam
One of the remotest railway operation on Earth is the Tipong coal railway in Upper Assam, India. This small network used to be worked by B-class steam locos from the Darjeeling line and 'DAVID', the smallest working steam engine of the world. It is seen here leaving to the mines with empty 'tubs' and wood for the mine galleries reinforcement.
