I do have an issue with my cam on macro. It continuously focuses into the backgound and not the subject. I had to take 8 pics of this to get the correct distance between the subject and the background such that the cam didn't see the background and focus onto it. Thank the stars for digital cams and rechargeable batteries. I am seriously looking to invest in a digi-SLR, then maybe my true aspirations will be met.
