    Frank the answer is simple, you are taking the photograph, so you create the result you wish to have!!!
    Shadow is a natural phenomena, where ever there is a light source.
    Great photograph mate, love it.

    thanks for visiting and writing!
    I created the shadow via postprocessing.
    There was just a soft shadow and I liked it more this way :)

    Dirk, I agree, most of the posings seem not to be natural . For my approach of understanding photography, it doesn´t have to look natural. I or better sb. elso likes the result ... this is my aim :)

    yeah ... paul's right .. to me that dark spot is very disturbing and gives the face a strange shape

    the pose seems to be a little unnatural ...
