Wapping
for more information please refer to the previous photos in the series.Thank you.
Wapping has always been associated with busy and noisy trading, with people working at the docks in and out the huge warehouses, jovial sailors who would arrive in Wapping in search for a brake in the various pubs whilst their ship was being unloaded and reloaded for new and long trips. Many of those pubs were at the very proximity of the sea with dangerous steps becoming very slippery with moisture and growth of algae. Such steps can be presently seen at the back of the famous pub "The Prospect of Whitby" the landmark of Wapping.
