Water Mint

I found a few exceptional plants while exploring the bogland. Here’s a 4th. one.

As the name suggests, Water Mint likes to grow in a wet area, like the acid soil of the swampy peat Moors of ‘Hohes Venn’, the greatest and oldest National Park of Belgium and the most unique nature biotop in the land.
All parts of the plant, and especially the flowers, have a distinctly minty smell.

Dutch name : Watermunt
German name : Wasserminze
Latin name : Mentha aquatica
