ali baroomand

Born in Tehran, Iran. From an early age he became intrigued by photography and by the age of 16 he was already well accomplished and experienced in people photography, film developing and industrial printing in his homeland. Consequently he was offered few important jobs in the field which helped to further enhance his skills.

Education:
Received BA Degree from city University NJ, USA, majoring in Graphic Design and photography.
After graduating college in the early eighties, he began working as a film technician in a processing lab in textile industry for 7 years. During this period he also freelanced as a fashion and commercial photographer.
in 1987 he left new jersey to Virginia and began working in graphic design and publishing. in 1992 he became employed at the reputable Washington times as a production manager and in 1995 he started his own company devoted to the art of graphics providing design and publishing for different companies that included the renowned  Washington metropolitan.
Since the year 2000 he has devoted his full focus solely to the art of photography and fine art that includes digital photography. Unlike many photographers today, Ali is personally involved in manipulating and inventing various techniques in printing both his color and black & white imagery. He uses a specific background to insure the proper interpretation of the original objects while bringing to it feelings to the extent that the art of digital photography permits.
