Editor, journalist and photographer for some big German magazines and newspapers like "Süddeutsche Zeitung", Weltbild, Bild + Funk and others as well as radio journalist and author of books in German and English language. Lot of travel-writing, book-reviews, interviews and encounters with Paulo Coelho, Isabel Allende, Norman Mailer, Paul Anka, Waris Dirie, Michael York, Little Richard, Angela Merkel, John Irving, Minette Walters, Barbara Wussow, Nicholas Evans, Nicholas Sparks and much more. Lived in India for 16 months after the tsunami of 2004 to accompany the reconstruction and rehabilitation work by the NGO of Caritas there. Wrote the book "Waves of Hope - Life after the tsunami" there (which includes also many of my photographs) and produced two short films on the tsunami response. Ever since big focus on humanitarian aid and human rights, especially for the NGO of Caritas, but always open to anything creative and challenging.
