I have always been fascinated by photogrphy ever since I was a child and my father took me into his darkroom and showed me the magic of images coming to life. I cannot remember when I did not own a camera even! Of course the digital revolution did not pass me by, I own a Minolta 5D (so glad it's not called Sony) and I take it along as often as I can. Being a journalist in the ancient city of Delft means I get to photograph a lot. I do, however, prefer the more artistic approach over photojournalism. To me photography is first and foremost the art of seeing. Seeing what is there but also that which is not! I am not a big fan of digital postproduction though I have come to realize it is unavoidable. My partner Jeff -who is from Australia- is also an avid photographer and we inspire eachother wherever we go. We travel as much as possible and love to document our trips with as many images as we can shoot! I hope to meet many of you here and to learn from your amazing work.
