Photographer's Comment
Another scanning electron microscope picture. Finding any feature on a sample under the SEM has a chance of 1 to 400 000. Every minute of measuring time has to be paid for, and it takes about 20 to 30 minutes to set up a picture, adjust sharpness and contrast, correct stigmatism etc.. Normally I just "race" through a sample looking for the features of my product and take as many pictures of it as possible. But when I saw this fascinating dust particle I just had to capture an image of it.
