Pirin Mountain 2
More than 2000 years ago the Thracians have called that wonder of nature Orbelus, meaning the Snow Mountain. Slavs have later likened it to their God of thunders and storm Perun, the original name of Pirin. The Pirin mountain is the indisputable Godfather of this region.
'No human being could hold one's breath seeing the magnificent marble Vihren peak. No one could admire the rich variety of Pirin forest's colours. No memory could forget the many-voiced songs and bloody battles of legendary Bulgarian rebels... '
