Summer fun
I tried to capture motion in this picture by panning my camera as I took the shot. The picture is transformed into B&W by using the green channel of the RGB data. This brightened the (green) background and darkened the red shirt to get the focus to the child. I increased the contrast to give the picture more "character". Sort of an experiment, hope you like it.

Wonderful shot,The way you have worked on it reminds of the old days when things were so much more basic and a lot less pressure on life like there is today.Robert van der Sanden 20/06/2005 8:47

I like it a lot. Your experiment make it look like an old picture taken many years ago. And I like the expression of the girl how she enjoy the ride. Very well done Robert.Greetings

Yes, Robert, your experiment gave a very good result! Some "channelwork" can be really interesting, but the most important of course is a good picture, and that you have. Really fine with the background in motion and the focus on the child!Greetings, Martin
