The Middle Ages (119) : Young Tailor
This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.
***
Dressmaking was a profession in which you could earn a lot of money in the Middle Ages and is thousands of years old.
This craft was already practiced at the time of the ancient Greeks and Romans, and in all likelihood even far before that.
My picture shows a young novice tailor at the beginning of his profession.
Photographed at medieval festival of castle Sterckshof (Deurne, Belgium)
