This series is an attempt to illustrate how life was going on in the Middle Ages.

In those medieval times, childhood was in fact insignificant.
Children dependent on their parents until they were about 7 years old, thereafter their youth was past.
The practice of a youthful marriage was very common and many girls were already married at the age of…..14 years !

Another good image of the Middle Ages. I have found in my travels over the past couple years, Vietnam and Peru, that marriage is still common in the rural areas at ages as young as 14.Regards, Archie
