Encounter with a bamboo shark
Unlike more well-known sharks, like the great white, the bamboo shark is a small, slow-moving bottom dweller. Their common name is “longtail carpet shark,” and for good reason. They have extremely long tails which are longer than the length of the rest of their body.
The bamboo shark encounter was in an bay of the island Nusa Penida during my dive in
december 2018.
