himba hut
hartmann valley
north east namibia, nov 2004
we visted this himba village when we were staying at serra cafema wilderness lodge (5 suites).
only the guest of serra cafema visit the village - the agreement between the lodge managers and the village's chief: guest are welcome and as a compensation the lodge provides a kind of boat transfer for the villagers to/from angolan side of the river because some of the relatives live in angola. furthermore the lodge delivers fresh water so that the villagers can safe travelling back and forth to the only source of water: the kunene river.
close to serra cafema the kunene river builds the natural border between namibia and angola.

Ah ha Irma, so you are lacto-ova-vegetarians??As I expected, the last time I was in this area, there was a great deal of wonderful lush green vegetation!!!
Now that all the vegetarians have visited here, they killed and ate all the vegetation. How sad???
Ha ha ha.
Now not even snakes can hide there!!!
I am going to have to keep an eye on you folk, if you visit Australia again!!!
Thank you wonderful folk, and thanks for your kind comments on medusa.
