open air washing
India Jaipur
Visiting a village, few miles away from Jaipur, I had ample opportunities to see people in their routine everyday duties. Kneeling in a very uncomfortable position in the open and trying to do the washing with scarse water and soap isn't of course the most enjoyable occupation....
A real hand made washing machine.

The next time I start to grumble about having to do the washing.....I shall think about this lady.A superb shot showing how many have to do their washing without the aid of 'posh' washing machines.....just a bowl on the ground.........
