@Karin und Frederick,ich bin mir zwar nicht sicher, ob die Diskussion erwünscht ist, möchte aber gerne etwas zum oben angesprochenen Schnitt sagen.
1. Ich sehe keine gravierenden Unterschiede, was die Kriterien für den Bildaufbau betreffen, ob nun ein Kunstmaler oder "Fotograf" ein Bild erstellt :)
2. Den unteren Teil des oberen Bildes halte ich nicht nur günstig für die Bildkomposition, sondern auch, um zu erkennen, in welchem Kontext sich das Ganze bewegt.

I'm not a fotografer .. rather an Painter (of pictures) ...
and
so..
it's my custom.. that when I buy paper for drawings or watercolors, for example, with the 1m /70cm format .. that is the format I compose on ... and I don't crop the format to 70cm/70cm format if the painting didn't turn out the way I expected..
my camera has three formats: 4:3 (digital) 3:2 (kleinbild) and 16:9 (long john format .. .or wide screen) ...
I yet (unfortunately) still don't have a digital camera with a 1:1 format
but: (I have been wanting to trade my analog Canon T90, with many lens; see my Profil)
for a Ricoh Caplio GX200 Kit mit Tele Converter
or
Nikon Coolpix P6000 mit Tele Converter
What I actually do... I compose with the format the camera offers and 99,2% of allf my pictures are not cut or cropped

die blickführung... das ist der hammer! )))
...nur oben der bilderrahmen - der ist bisschen überflüssig, da würde ich was wegschneiden, im interesse des gesamtbildes. ich würd sogar den kopf anschneiden. :-)
