Prime Cuts - A NoMa Moment

My hunch is that only a devout card-carrying vegan could walk past the appetizing
front of the Harris-Teeter supermarket in northeast Washington’s revitalized NoMa
(North of Massachusetts Avenue) district without thinking “Beef – It’s what’s for Dinner.”

Not only an appetizing display, but also some savvy subliminal salivary marketing for those arriving at the
nearby NoMa-Gallaudet Metro Station after a day at work, heading home to one of the nearby apartment buildings...
or leaving off a bike at the Capital Bikeshare stand after an appetite-stoking ride along the Metropolitan Branch Trail.

Here’s to selling the sizzle on a rare sunny and low humidity Washington summer afternoon!

Rare, hmmm? Yes, that’s how I’ll have mine. With a nice red
wine to raise a toast to Robert Mitchum…and Aaron Copland.(*)

Oh, yes, and speaking of comfort food…
Film - It’s what was in the camera.
The tasty palette of Fuji Reala-100 (from the freezer, natch) in my “new”1980’s vintage
Contax RTS II, through the Carl Zeiss 28-85mm f/3.3-4 Vario-Sonnar lens at its long end.
